AutoFarm3D V3.12.0 - Release Notes

This release focuses on boosting your efficiency! We've introduced comprehensive filament tracking to manage material usage across all printers, significantly improved auto-ejection for Bambu Lab printers, and streamlined the tag setup process. These features give you better control over your printing farm, helping you monitor resources, automate workflows, and organize production more effectively.

3.12.0 Release Notes​

1. Filament Tracking​

  • A filament gauge will now appear under every printer in your dashboard.
    • Select material, colour, and spool size.
    • Automatically track how much filament is remaining, and how much filament is being used by the current print.
    • Quickly refill or modify the current filament level on any printer from the dashboard.
  • Plan for when a printer will run out of filament. A warning will appear when the current job will cause the printer to run out of filament.
    • Set an accurate part weight from the files page-- we recommend weighing your parts and manually entering a value, as slicer estimated values can be off by >10%.

2. Bambu Auto-Eject Improvements + A1 Automation​

  • Added support for A1 auto-ejection.
  • Implemented a new method of auto-ejecting parts from Bambu Lab machines.
    • Improved robustness on poor network conditions or P1 series printers with connectivity issues.
    • Improved ejection path calculation for more reliable ejection for parts of various heights.
    • Recovers from temporary network disconnects during the ejection routine.
    • Improved smoothness and speed of ejection routine.
    • Added additional safety checks before ejecting.
  • Added experimental mode for P1 and X1 series machines that enables special ejection routines for parts taller than 200mm or shorter than 5mm
    • Enable experimental mode by clicking on a printer, then Printer Settings > Settings > Z Height Restriction
    • HARDWARE MODIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO PRINT OUTSIDE THE LIMITS contact us [email protected] before disabling the Z height limitation.

3. Tag setup​

Tag On-boarding Process

  • On-boarding for tag setup has been simplified for new users
    • When getting started, you will be introduced to the Smart Tag functionality, and can set up tags for materials, colours, and nozzle size via a series of guided questions.

4. Bugfixes & Other Changes​

  • Fixed issue where Bambu printers would fail to recognize and print 3MF files that were manually edited by the user.
