AutoFarm3D V3.7.0 - Order Management, Stats, and More!​

This release contains an exclusive preview of our new order management system! AutoFarm3D's Order Management page will help you manage your farm with a level of organization never before possible. You can keep track of your deadlines, view estimated order completion dates, and see the progress of all your orders at a glance. You'll also be able to keep a record of all your completed orders and reprint previous orders. This is a big step towards our vision of a fully integrated 3D printing business management platform, and we're excited to share it with you!

This order management system still in development, but we're making it available now so you can give it a try and let us know what you think. We'd love to hear your feedback on how we can improve it!

We've also overhauled the Stats page, adding 4 new data visualization panels to help you answer questions about your print farm usage, and show you detailed stats that are too much work to track manually. Finally, we've added some quality of life improvements, including tooltips that explain AutoFarm3D features, and email notifications when printers run into errors.

1. Orders Page Exclusive Preview​

Managing 3D printing orders can be overwhelming, especially when a single order has 10, 20, or even 100 unique parts, which is why we’re giving you an exclusive preview of our Orders page! Here, you can add new orders, send them to your printers, and view each order’s status at a glance, while AutoFarm3D takes care of tracking your orders, deadlines, and estimated completion dates. Get ready to reach new heights of organization! The Orders page is still in development, so we'd love to hear your feedback on how we can improve it.

1.1 Summary view​

Summary view shows a summary of all your orders. You can see the progress of each order at a glance using the multi-color progress bar. This page will also display the order due date and estimated completion date.

1.2 Order details​

Each order has its own detailed breakdown. Here, you can see status of every print job in the order, and move them between different states.

2. Stats Page Overhaul​

The Stats page has been completely overhauled to give you much more information about your print farm! You can now see:

  • Number of prints completed
  • Number of prints ordered
  • Farm utilization monthly calendar
  • Top 5 most printed parts
  • Top 5 most active printers
  • Farm utilization breakdown per 8 hours, 24 hours, and 7 days

3. Email Error Notifications​

Sometimes, 3D printers can have errors, and it's important to know when they happen. In addition to stopping the print and showing a red error status on the printer card, AutoFarm3D will now also send you an email notification with the error details.

4. Tooltips​

Many of the buttons and features in AutoFarm3D now have tooltips shown as (?) buttons throughout the interface. Tooltips are a great way to learn how to use AutoFarm3D!

5. Improvements and Bug Fixes​

  • Fixed an issue where printers could appear to be in Manual mode when they were actually in Autopilot mode.
  • Fixed the Suspend button not turning into "Unsuspend" when a printer is suspended.
  • Improved the "Printer settings" button for better clarity.
  • Fixed an issue where Artillery printers could be left in relative mode (G91) after cancelling a print which interfered with the printer's levelling wizard.
  • SmartTags are no longer case sensitive so you can't accidentally create duplicate tags. (Green = green = GREEN)

6. Known Bugs​

  • Sending a print job to a printer that is crashed and in an error state (thermal runaway, homing failure, etc.) will cause a job to be stuck in the queue. We are working on a hotfix for this.
  • In the Order Details page, cancelling a print job will send the job to the "Ready to Collect" status. We will eventually add the option to Collect, Reject, or Reject & Requeue the print job, but for now you'll need to manually requeue it.
  • If you upload files while editing an order, you'll need to refresh the page to see the new files.
  • When clicking on "Manage Order" the message "Order not found" may display for a few seconds before the Orders page loads.
  • Files on your farm that were uploaded before this update will have a print time of -1 minutes.

8. Installation Instructions​

This update is completely automatic! Simply restart your print farm hubs and they will automatically update to the latest version.
